The Altar of Innocents was beautifully decorated and was such a special tribute to all of our babies. But it was so heartbreaking to see so many butterflies, each of which had a baby's name written on it. Other BL parents even added their babies' names to the tree on the altar. Since we got there really late, there were no butterflies left, so we attached Gabriel's name to the gate where others had written notes to their deceased loved ones.
I am so glad that our babies received a special altar at the festival. I think it helped to demonstrate that our babies are people too and that they are forever missed.
